Tuesday 18th June (Rarotonga time)

Tuesday is a hot sunny day and we’re all really pleased there’s a breeze otherwise we’d be roasting!

Mum, Nana, Breanna and I went into town to go shopping while all the boys stayed home.
We found the T Shirt factory; I tried on heaps of clothes and even brought a few. We went to the Police Station so Mum and Nana could get drivers licenses. It didn’t take very long and they can drive the scooters too. We are going to get some tomorrow, I think that will be fun!

I saw a Chiefs Residence. There are 4 chiefs here and 3 of them are woman.

After lunch we went down to the Lagoon and hired 2 Treddlecats. Alex and John were in one and the rest of us were in the other. It was great fun, we got stuck on coral while the boys were racing around all over the lagoon.

Once we landed on an island beach we went snorkelling. I was a little scared when we first started but it didn’t take long until I was hunting for the fish so I could take photos of them. We spent about 3 hours in the water and it tasted disgusting. I saw lots of different coloured fish and took heaps of photos. I had a turn pedalling the Treddle boat with the boys. Then we headed back to the main island.

This fish seemed to follow us around

We had a quick swim when we got back to our house and then went out for tea at Kikau Hut. I had Cheesy Potatoes and Steak and Bannofie Pie. Nanas Apple Crumble tasted so yummy that I ordered one of those too.

The man that ran the Restaurant was a kiwi and told us the best places to go to see the most spectacular fish, so that is where we are heading tomorrow.

There are lots of insects especially Ants. We can’t leave food out because they get covered in Ants and there are Hundreds on one piece of food.

Some of the houses have ropes to hold the roves on.
